Whether you're experienced in the Education or childcare sector, have done some babysitting, this is the first time you're thinking about working with children, or anything in between, THIS is the role for you!
We have a Coordinator opportunity in our small yet growing service at St James CPS Brighton OSHClub where you'll be leading a team of dedicated Educators in providing engaging services for children in our before and after school care capacity.
Hours are as follows: Monday – Friday, 7:00 – 9:00 AM (BSC) and 3:00 – 6:00 PM (ASC) plus additional admin hours. The middle of your day is free!
About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.
Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration.

About the school
St James CPS Brighton OSHClub is an existing small and vibrant service with an average morning attendance of 1-5 children and afternoon attendance of 4-10 children. We have our own space with fully equipped kitchen which can be used as an office area and a multipurpose room . The outdoor playground is also available to our OSHClub children. This is a service where we have good connections with the school and principal and a good routine already established to step into the team.
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
Enjoy working with kids
Strong and clear communication
Team player with a desire to become a service leader
Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
Australian work rights
Diploma, Bachelor or Degree within Early Childhood Education, Teaching, Social & Youth Work, Community Services, Arts, Science, Sports & Recreation, etc. or working towards is a must (Please refer to ACECQA website for more info)
