AddressAn exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate individual to undertake a full-time, fixed-term contract as OSHC Director at Xavier College, Two Wells for the reminder of the 2024 school year.
The OSHC Director reports directly to the Two Wells Head of Campus and is responsible for leading a team of passionate Educators to implement a recreation and leisure quality OSHC program, that is educational and inclusive to all children attending the Service, based on recognised School Age Care Framework.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs
- demonstrated ability to model and teach appropriate behaviours and provide proactive support for children
- previous experience working in a leadership capacity supervising staff and dealing with emergency or unexpected situations as they arise
- experience dealing with children with particular needs
- demonstrated high-level of organisation and time management
- the ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality and discretion
- a high-level of developed observation and reporting skills
- experience undertaking various high-level administrative duties
Experience
- previous experience working in an OSHC or Early Childhood setting in a leadership capacity, responsible for staff and children
- planning, development, implementation and evaluation of appropriate programs for children reflecting the diverse needs of the community
- operational and financial management skills with exceptional attention to detail and high-level administrative skills
- demonstrated knowledge and previous administrative experience in an OSHC Service including Child Care Management System (CCMS) and Children's Services Award

Specific Requirements
- Completed qualifications to work in a child-related industry as recognised by ACECQA
- In-depth knowledge of the ACECQA National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time our Place
- Current Working with Children Check and Catholic Clearance
- Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012)
- Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC
- Food Safety Supervision Skill Set Certification
OSHC Operation Hours
This is a replacement, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week and will require the Director to be rostered across the following Service operating hours:
- Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays)
- Before School: 6.30am – 8.30am
- After School: 3.00pm – 6.30pm
- Pupil Free Days: 6.30am – 6.30pm
