The Ulan Complex is comprised of Ulan Underground Mine, Ulan West Mine, and Ulan Surface Operations. The Complex has two established, efficient, and high production underground longwall coal mining operation in the western coalfields of NSW.

Is this the right opportunity for you?
In this position, you will cover all aspects of the mine! This includes both technical operational and maintenance support to the services department, as well as mechanical engineering project support for the ever-expanding site mechanical infrastructure.
As the Mechanical Maintenance Trade Supervisor for the Outbye department, you will report to the Outbye Mechanical Coordinator and be responsible for:
Liaising with shift supervisors, tradespersons and operators regarding the condition and performance of equipment;
Ensuring the creation of work orders and monitoring plan completion;
Determining and organising parts, labour and equipment to undertake maintenance plans and major breakdowns;
Providing technical advice, assistance and development of tradespeople;
Providing input into the daily and weekly plans.
To succeed in this role, you will possess;
Minimum 3 year' experience in an underground coal environment;
Mechanical Trade, Diploma Qualification or Mechanical Engineering Degree;
Strong technical understanding of maintenance practices on conveyor and pumping systems;
Ideally have experience in supervising a maintenance crew;
Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills.
