About the CampusSituated in a pristine natural setting, our extended stay and outdoor experiential education campus offers Year 9 boys a distinctive environment to develop essential life skills. Our residential program is designed to enhance social development and is recognised as a significant milestone in their journey to manhood.We offer exceptional professional development opportunities, a supportive work environment, and a variety of new experiences.About the RoleWe are looking for an outstanding Outdoor Education Instructor to become part of our vibrant team. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with three-year contracts.Benefits Include:
  • Daily meals and access to facilities such as the gym, mountain bike trails, and outdoor equipment (upon request).
  • A comprehensive outdoor uniform, including a rain jacket, tent, sleeping bag, trangia, hike pack, and sunscreen.
  • First Aid kits provided and audited by our on-site registered nursing team.
  • Allowances for hiking boots, bike helmet, bike servicing, and replacement parts are included in the salary package.
  • Staff must supply their own mountain bike.
  • Excellent professional development opportunities and a competitive remuneration package.
Essential Requirements
  • Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree in Outdoor Recreation.
  • Wilderness First Aid Certificate (course may be offered).
  • Recognised competency in at least three of the following areas: Bushwalking, Navigation, Mountain Biking, Flat Water Canoeing/Kayaking, Abseiling, Climbing, Caving, Sea Kayaking, Canyoning, Surfing.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the Outdoor Education industry.
  • Light Rigid License (or willing to obtain prior to employment).
  • Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion.
Desirable Criteria
  • Previous boarding/residential experience and/or teaching qualifications.
  • A strong interest in Outdoor Education activities and experiential learning.
  • Ability to drive a manual vehicle.
