These positions will potentially be located in Leongatha, Foster and Korumburra but may work across various locations across the shire.Council will support you to succeed in your casual role by providing opportunities for training across the software, systems and processes used within the organisation.Hourly rates start from $41.43Availability 7 days a week roles:
- Public Amenities Team Members
- Key responsibilities of this role include keeping all public toilets and BBQ areas that Council are responsible for clean, presentable and in functional condition inside and out, and attending to any minor maintenance within the Public Amenities.
- Maintenance & Construction Team Members (including Concreters, Machine Operators, Road Maintenance)
- Key responsibilities of this role include assisting in the development and maintenance of roads infrastructure, bridges, drains, major culverts, storm water and footpaths throughout South Gippsland (tickets and experience in the operation of chainsaws, loaders, backhoes and excavators).
- Open Space (Parks & Gardens) Team Members (including Vegetation and Street Beautification)
- Key responsibilities of this role include horticulture or tree maintenance work, operating plant or equipment including chippers, chainsaws, mowers, brush cutters, hedge trimmers, blowers, spray equipment, traffic management, and if required, Elevated Work Platform (EWP).
- Roadside & Natural Reserves Team Members
- Key responsibilities of this role include ground works; undertaking tree management and vegetation maintenance works; implementing weed control activities and constructing and maintaining infrastructure in Council Bush Reserves and Rail Trails.
- Coal Creek Community Park and Museum Maintenance Officers
- Key responsibilities of this role include undertaking general maintenance tasks including ground maintenance, repairing, cleaning and / or replacing Coal Creeks building property, assets, associated infrastructure, fixtures and fittings.
