P03 Agricultural Economist (Mareeba)

Kingston Human Capital has been engaged by one of Queensland’s leading Government Departments to assist in sourcing a highly motivated and proactive Agricultural Economist to join their team.
 
As the Agricultural Economist, you will:

• Deliver high-quality economic evaluations that drive improved profitability and sustainability in the agricultural industry.
• Analyse project data using appropriate economic methodologies and prepare case study reports, papers, and other communication materials on time.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, such as landholders, industry organizations, colleagues, natural resource management groups, universities, and government agencies.
• Develop and maintain bio-economic models and apply economic analysis methods (e.g., gross margin analysis, cost-benefit analysis, partial budgeting) to assess agricultural production activities, natural resource management initiatives, and policy analysis.

• A Bachelor's degree in economics, business, agribusiness, or commerce (including economics/finance/accounting). Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• A passion for contributing to the agricultural sector and/or demonstrated applied experience in agriculture will be highly regarded.
• Willingness to undertake overnight travel, including travel to regional areas, to fulfil specific tasks and engage with stakeholders.
• Possession of a valid Australian driver's license.
