Job description

What we’re looking for:

This position is responsible for processing high volume invoices, both against Purchase Orders and manually coding.  You will also use your troubleshooting skills when reconciling supplier statements and following up on the various discrepancies to get the invoice processed, approved and paid. 

The role:

  • Perform Accounts Payable function through driving P2P compliance and providing appropriate coverage in the processing of supplier invoices, resolving discrepancies, and preparing payments.
  • Manage relationships with Affinity Centre and CSO staff, as well as our Suppliers and Third-Party Stakeholders, in the resolution of procure to pay queries.
  • Drive standardisation and business compliance in the Procure to Pay (P2P) process and systems with both suppliers and business users.
  • Develop user guides for system processes and provide training to end users as required
  • Undertake, implement and initiative improvements seeking out automation and efficiency wins.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate reconciling amounts on relevant general ledger accounts
  • Perform month end ledger close activities.
  • Maintain processes, policies, and procedures
  • Answer incoming calls and follow up account/invoice queries from centres and suppliers to achieve a successful and timely outcome

About you:

  • Experience with Procure to Pay (P2P) processes as a P2P, Accounts Payable or Purchasing Officer.
  • Experience with Coupa or other Payables or P2P Automation platforms (desired)
  • Experience with SAPbyDesign or other ERP systems (desired)
  • Proven ability to prioritize workload and forward plan to ensure work and information is complete and commitments are fulfilled
  • Intermediate Excel and Intermediate Word
  • Ability to take instruction then work with minimal supervision 
  • To be proactive and have exceptional communications skills – both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
