The Opportunity
We seek a Team Member — Ovals and Parks Maintenance Team who will undertake range of horticultural activities, specifically related to Council’s ovals, parks and reserves. Ensuring compliance with safety policies, contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of ovals, parks, reserves, drains, verges and laneways including fertilizing, mowing, trimming, edging and tree pruning.
Your responsibilities will include identifying and removing weeds, pests and diseases and eradicate them through the use of pesticides and herbicides, perform Parks & Gardens support duties within capabilities and/or consistent with the level of this position as required, demonstrate a professional attitude and display respect to general public and other Council employees, keep accurate daily work records and report any issues including necessary repairs to the team leader/ supervisor in a timely manner and hazards, accidents, incidents and near-misses to the Manager as soon as practicable.

- Attractive salary of $70,176.50 p/a plus district allowance — $ 2611.00 w/dependents, $1498.00 w/o dependents
- 6 weeks annual leave with additional generous leave entitlements.
