Job description

Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. The College has a vacancy for a Personal Assistant to the Assistant Head of College - Middle years. This is a Term-time, continuing role, part-time (3 days per week). The position is classified as a Level 5 School Officer position and is renumerated at $37.17 per hour. This is a fast-paced role and would suit an applicant who has experience in a similar environment.
Essential Selection Criteria: * Applicants must have a Blue Card (Working with Children);

  • Relevant experience and qualifications in the area of Business or Data Administration;
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and follow direction;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Advanced Microsoft Adobe suite skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College

The ideal applicant will be required to:
  • Manage the Assistant Head of College - Middle Years electronic diary including input of all College events;
  • Carry out a range of clerical and administrative duties at an advanced level including word processing, filing, photocopying, computerised record keeping and preparation of documents for meetings, including taking minutes;
  • Create and produce accurate and professional documentation utilising a variety of applications;
  • Assisting with senior external and mock exam preparations and execution;
  • Coordination and preparation for Academic Information evenings (8-9);
  • Administrative support for Curriculum Leaders;
  • Liaising with academic bodies such as QCAA, QCEC, ACARA and ACER;
