About the role

To meet the growth of our business, an opportunity is available for a Packaging and Despatch Manager to join our operational team at Bathurst.

• Manage the packaging, warehouse  and dispatch of products from Bathurst plant and all activities around incoming and outgoing materials (products) in close cooperation with the other members of the plant management team (Plant manager, maintenance manager and leading hand operators).
• Ensure all works pertaining to this area are carried out in a safe and efficient way fulfilling all business needs and exceeding customer expectations. 
• Develop and implement packaging processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
• Implement quality control measures to guarantee the consistency and integrity of packaged products
• Participate as integral member of site leadership team, in conjunction with Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager and create a positive work place culture which embodies and is consistent with the Company Values and 
• Address and resolve quality issues promptly, collaborating with relevant departments to implement corrective actions
• Supervise, train, and motivate Packaging and dispatch staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs to enhance team capabilities
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and Company requirements.

Skills and experience

• Min. 5 Years’ experience in packaging/despatch leadership role
• Excellent people management and interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, social competence and a strong team player
• Highly motivated and results oriented
• Ability to find solutions and proactively solve problems
• Effective oral and written communication.
• SAP production and Despatch experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of Chain of Responsibility legislation.
• High level of computer literacy skills eg Microsoft office suite and data analysis
• Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)
• Proof of right to work in Australia is required
