An opportunity currently exists for a Forklift Operator, based at our Tennyson site, on a full-time permanent basis. This role will be responsible to support the packing operations to maximise line efficiency. Growth opportunities exist for the right applicant to progress to the packing operator role.
Key accountabilities include:
- Supply ingredients and packaging material to the packing line as required.
- Use of RF guns to control stock movements in and out of the line.
- Generate and apply labels to finished product pallets.
- Manage ingredients and packaging by FIFO.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards with regard to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP regulations.
- Identify and isolate any Out Of Spec raw materials.
- Maintain hygiene/GMP to an acceptable level for area of responsibility.
- Perform forklift start up procedure inspections, clean and maintain on a regular basis.
- Detect any operational problems and minimise equipment breakdowns.
- Follow company safe work procedures and comply with all safety instructions.
- Assist in packing line operations as required.
- Assist the packing operator in maintenance cleaning on the line during planned downtime.
- Manual restacking of pallets as required.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Current Forklift Licence – must have High Reach experience.
- Experience in warehouse movements using RF gun.
- Experience in warehouse movements using RF gun.
- Experience in food manufacturing (desirable).
- Experience in SAP (desirable).
- Physically fit.
