Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service, RCH Stream Leader – Grade 4 B Nurse or Grade 3 Allied Health/Psychology

The Role:

This role will work with existing stream leaders in coordinating the paediatric rehabilitation service at the Royal Children’s Hospital. The position would be responsible for coordinating patient care, identify goals with families as well as coordinating specialist clinics and day rehabilitation services. This position would suit an experienced nurse, or allied health/psychology clinician. 

The Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) is a state-wide specialist service which caters for the complex rehabilitation needs of children and adolescents recovering from major injury, illness and elective procedures aimed at functional maximisation. The VPRS at The Royal Children’s Hospital has 13 rehabilitation beds located in the main hospital, and a large community based service.  The case load is varied but will include acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury and other neurological conditions.  


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant degree in nursing/ allied health science or equivalent.
  • Current registration with AHPRA or evidence of eligibility of professional association.  For specific information please refer to Position Description
  • Experience working with children or in rehabilitation will be advantageous
