Our practice was established 32 years ago and is well known within our community. It gives the successful applicant an opportunity to work alongside 10 Speech Pathologists and 6 Therapy Aids. We provide a warm, friendly and supportive work environment.
Our practice works closely with Schools, Preschools, Pediatrician's, Psychologists and GP's in the area. Our services are based on site, online and at schools. At Blacktown Speech Pathology we aim to provide families with individualised treatment plans that best services the needs of each child.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to manage their own caseload. They will also have the opportunity to attend weekly meetings for case discussion and support.
Our practice offers a diverse caseload. This includes children with language difficulties, articulation difficulties, dyspraxia, ASD and developmental difficulties. We have a special interest in ASD and offer a diverse range of therapies to these particular clients and families. We feel that the demographics of our practice will allow the applicant the opportunity to deal with a variety of communication problems and develop their clinical skills.

Position Responsibilities:
- The Assessment of children from 18 months to 18 years. You will be responsible for diagnosing and providing individual treatment plans.
- Individual Service Delivery.
- Work in collaboration with families, other Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologist, Schools, Pediatricians and GP's.
- Providing the best quality level of service to our clients and their families.
- Report writing and documentation.
- Participation in team meetings.
- Weekly Supervision and Support sessions.
- Attend In-Servicing and workshops.
Essential skills and criteria:
- Membership with SPA
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Experience is desirable due to our high level of ASD clients. We would appreciate if the applicant has at least 24 months of clinical experience however all applicants are welcome to apply
- NSW Driver's Licence and own vehicle is essential for visits outside clinic.
- Honest, friendly reliable person who is able to establish rapport with children and their families
- Dedicated and hardworking Therapist able to provide highest quality service to each client
- A fun and caring team member
- Organisational and time management skills are essential
- Highly motivated and willing to work
- The ability to work with other professionals (e.g. Occupational Therapist)
