Paint Sales Assistant - Balcatta

Inspirations Paint is Australia’s leading Paint Specialists Franchise Group, servicing both the retail and trade markets. We are growing and always on the lookout for high calibre individuals to join our store teams.

The Inspirations Paint Balcatta Store is looking for an enthusiastic Paint Sales Assistant to join their team. The successful applicant would have a background in retail sales, paint knowledge or relevant personal experience in home improvement projects and be genuinely interested in people and their projects, and in providing an exceptional customer experience to both our retail and trade customers. 

The position is available for immediate start and will include ongoing industry leading training, and a uniform. Wages will be based on suitability and experience. Store hours are 6am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 7:00am to 1:00pm Saturday. The store is not open on Sundays. 

Responsibilities include:

• Following our “Inspirations Way” procedures
• Providing exceptional customer service to both retail and trade customers
• Tinting and mixing paint, colour advice and matching
• Paint and accessory deliveries as required
• Store presentation, stock management and housekeeping
• Reporting to the Store Manager
• Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety requirements

 Experience / Attributes:

• A background in sales and/or customer service with a paint specialist or in a hardware environment would be an advantage
• Practical experience in home improvement projects desirable
• Proven customer service and sales experience with a strong knowledge of sales processes
• Able to problem solve using advanced communication skills
• A willingness to learn and continually improve
• Able to contribute and work in a team environment
• Full, current drivers licence
• Honest, reliable and punctual
• Basic computer skills
• This role involves some heavy lifting up to 20L
