We are seeking an experienced PAINTING TRADES PERSON to work in our Northern Territory workshop based in Pinelands.
To be considered for the role you will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:
- Sound knowledge in Surface Preparation orequivalent (Desirable, but not necessary)
- Ideally have 3 years’ experience within relevantor similar field
- Experience working as a spray painter/blaster
- In-depth knowledge of paint mixing and sprayingtechniques.
- Understand surface preparation and finishes.
- Be able to understand and complete works tospecifications.
- Be able to mix to correct ratio two-part paintcoatings etc.
- Select paints, varnishes and stains to varioussurfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers.
- Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gaugesand be able to achieve specified dry film thickness.
- Be able to work at heights and in confinedspaces.
- Erecting scaffolding and ladders.
- Cleaning equipment and work areas.
- Meeting with clients and work managers todiscuss design and colour choices.
- Applying masking tape and coverings over areasthat are not being sprayed.
- Selecting and attaching the correct spray nozzleto create the desired spray pattern.
- Spraying machines, products, and wall areasusing industry techniques.
- Spraying designs using stencils, if required.
- Inspecting and assessing spray coatings afterthe paint has dried.
- Able to follow all safety recommendationssupplied by blasting equipment suppliers.
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Salary: Guaranteed annual earnings of at least $70,000 + Super
