Here at Head Medical, we are actively working with a major clinical and specialist referral centre for southwest Victoria who are seeking to appoint a Consultant in Palliative Medicine
As a Consultant in Palliative Medicine, you'll provide high-quality and comprehensive services to palliative care patients, both in community and inpatient settings.
Where appropriate, you will provide a consultancy and liaison service to other clinicians involved in the management of palliative care patients. This includes for example advice regarding symptom control, pain management and advance care planning.
Other duties include supervising the clinical care provided by Registrars/Hospital Medical Officers involved in the care of palliative care patients

- Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or New Zealand ideally in Palliative Care Medicine.
- Minimum of two years' experience in the provision of clinical palliative care services in both the community and the inpatient settings.
- Knowledge of Health Services, particularly Palliative Care Medicine and or experience in a related field of work.
