Parkes and Gardens Labourer

Landscapers wanted! Multiple positions available throughout Brisbane and Sunshine Coast!
Installation and Construction:

• Prepare the ground for landscaping activities, including grading and leveling.
• Install hardscape elements such as pathways, patios, and retaining walls.
• Plant and maintain lawns, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Install irrigation systems and ensure proper watering.

Maintenance:

• Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as mowing, weeding, and pruning.
• Monitor and control pests and diseases affecting plants.
• Fertilize and apply treatments to promote plant health.
• Clean and maintain outdoor spaces, including removing debris and litter.

Equipment Operation:

• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, such as ride on lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws (must have ticket) and leaf blowers.
• Safely use hand tools for planting, digging, and other tasks.

Client Interaction:

• Communicate with clients to understand their preferences and address concerns.
• Provide recommendations for ongoing maintenance and improvements.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Familiarity with plants, soil, and horticulture practices.
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and water management.
• Creativity in designing aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.
• Physical fitness and stamina for outdoor labor.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• Time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.

Safety:

• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use personal protective equipment when necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some employers may require additional certifications or education in horticulture or landscaping).
• Previous experience in landscaping or a related field may be preferred.
• Valid driver's license may be required for positions that involve travel between job sites.
• Manaul Drivers license

• Spray ticket
• Chainsaw ticket
