About this position

We are excited to offer two 3-year Parks and Gardens Apprenticeships within our Parks Operations team, based at our Operations Centre in Maddington. If you possess confidence in your ability to be a valuable team player, coupled with a passion for active learning and a readiness to contribute to the development and maintenance of the City’s parks, streetscapes and sport grounds, then this opportunity is perfect for you.
As an apprentice, you will benefit from practical, hands-on training combined with formal education and assessment at TAFE, all aimed towards achieving Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Self-motivation and keen desire to work outdoors in Parks and Gardens
- Openness to learning
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Essential requirements
- Current driver’s licence.
- National Police Clearance (no more than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
