Reference Number: 1037 Closing Date: 18-01-2024 Employment Type: Fixed Term Full Time (26/07/24) Location: Chinchilla Depot About the Opportunity Council is seeking Parks and Recreation Mower Operator/Labourer to undertake of a range of horticultural duties as directed including the maintenance of Council’s park assets and the operation of horticultural plant and equipment. The position is located in Chinchilla and is Fixed Term until 26 July 2024. Reporting to the Parks and Recreation Supervisor, you will: Operate of a range of horticultural plant and equipment in Councils parks, gardens and cemeteries; Assist in carrying out programmed and reactive maintenance on a range of built assets and infrastructure; Demonstrate a commitment to Work Health and Safety standards including hazard identification and reporting. About yourself The successful applicant will have: Demonstrated ability to operate relevant horticultural plant/and or equipment including ride on mowers and brush cutters; Demonstrated competence/experience in amenity horticulture; Proven understanding of and commitment to WHS practices and risk assessment which ensure a safe and healthy working environment for staff and the public.
