Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly organised and motivated Parts Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in truck & Heavy Vehicle Parts, inventory management, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our parts department and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of parts orders.
- Maintain an organised and well-stocked inventory, monitoring stock levels and ordering parts as necessary.
- Manage inventory control procedures to minimise loss and ensure the availability of parts.
- Collaborate with service and sales departments to ensure timely and accurate parts delivery.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing exceptional service and resolving issues promptly.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate parts department staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Analyse sales and inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms.
- Prepare reports on department performance, including sales, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Parts Manager or in a similar role within the Heavy Vehicle Industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, supply chain processes, and parts cataloguing.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
