Job description

Sometimes you get a chance to be part of something special. That something special is Tweddle Child and Family Health Service (Tweddle).

We are a daring organisation leading the way within the Early Parenting Sector, striving to strengthen the lives of babies, toddlers and their families. Our staff have passion, courage, resilience and diverse qualifications that nurture life-changing outcomes. Be part of the journey and become part of the Tweddle family.

Tweddle is a specialist public hospital with its main site located in Footscray and Wyndham offering a range of Early Parenting programs including residential, day long and sessional groups.

We are seeking a competent, innovative and enthusiastic Parenting Assessment and Skill Development Service (PASDS) Co-ordinator to join our team in Footscray for a 12 month fixed term position.  If you have a tertiary qualification in either Nursing, Psychology, Allied Health or equivalent post graduate studies in a relevant clinical area, including infant mental health, this role may be just right for you.

Tweddle's Parenting Assessment and Skills Development Service (PASDS) is for parents who have children between 0 and 3 years, who are currently involved with Child Protection (Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH).  From the initial assessment of children's wellbeing and parents' capacity to care for and protect their children, the service progresses to include intensive parenting education and skills development. This intensive therapeutic program is used by Child Protection and the Children's Court to inform their decision-making and to ensure appropriate supports are provided to children and their families.

The PASDS Coordinator role is a full time role and is part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for continually improving service delivery, performance targets, and staff management. The purpose of the role is to maintain and foster solution focused care, processes and systems in order to provide and deliver quality family centered outcomes.

Tweddle is a child-safe, family-friendly and culturally safe workplace and an equal opportunity employer, offering generous working conditions.

We celebrate families from all walks of life and foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging in principle and in practice, by providing services to babies, toddlers and their families that are culturally responsive. Additionally, we work towards enhancing the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and peoples from diverse cultural backgrounds.

We warmly invite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to apply.

We welcome phone conversations with our staff or if you would like to know more about this role, please contact us on 03 9689 1*** or email us on ***********@tweddle.org.au.

Please refer to the Tweddle Recruitment Application Guidelines and Instructions located on the Tweddle website https://www.tweddle.org.au/careers-at-tweddle/org.au for further information and to submit your application.
