Tweddle is a specialist public hospital with its main site located in Footscray and Wyndham offering a range of Early Parenting programs including residential, day long and sessional groups.
We are seeking a competent, innovative and enthusiastic Parenting Assessment and Skill Development Service (PASDS) Co-ordinator to join our team in Footscray for a 12 month fixed term position. If you have a tertiary qualification in either Nursing, Psychology, Allied Health or equivalent post graduate studies in a relevant clinical area, including infant mental health, this role may be just right for you.
Tweddle's Parenting Assessment and Skills Development Service (PASDS) is for parents who have children between 0 and 3 years, who are currently involved with Child Protection (Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH). From the initial assessment of children's wellbeing and parents' capacity to care for and protect their children, the service progresses to include intensive parenting education and skills development. This intensive therapeutic program is used by Child Protection and the Children's Court to inform their decision-making and to ensure appropriate supports are provided to children and their families.
The PASDS Coordinator role is a full time role and is part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for continually improving service delivery, performance targets, and staff management. The purpose of the role is to maintain and foster solution focused care, processes and systems in order to provide and deliver quality family centered outcomes.
