About the role
We are seeking a Full-Time Passive Fire Spray Specialist who ideally has vermiculite spray experience or experience in a similar role (intumescent paint / spray painter).
In this role you will work both independently and within a small team on a variety of projects, large and small. You’ll have a great eye for detail to ensure application is consistent to adequately protect the various structures to meet clients and building codes needs.
This position is an EBA role offering full EBA rates, allowances and site allowances with onsite learning and training to develop your career in the Passive Fire Industry.
Our Head Office is based in Geelong with the role and works being located in Sydney CBD plus surrounding suburbs.

The primary duties will include:
- Various applications of vermiculite Fire Spray to structural steel and mechanical ducting
- Masking up to protect overspray
- Installing wire mesh to mechanical ducting
- Interpret various construction drawings
- Ability to run a project from start to completion
- And more.
Other duties may include:
Assisting with fire rated board installation and fire stopping penetrations
Essential Requirements:
- White Card
- EWP Ticket
- Scissor Lift ticket
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Experience working on Union sites
- Proficient with a range of power tools
Desirable:
- Boom lift ticket
- Experience in the Passive Fire field
- Trade background: eg Carpentry, Plastering, Painting or other trade background
- Current Police Check
