What you'll be doing
As a PSA (Patient Support Assistant), you will join a large team to provide clinical support by maintaining effective cleaning services, following the NSW Environmental Cleaning Policy. Your duties will also include:
- Patient care assistance
- Transferring patients and work-related items throughout the facility safely and promptly
- Undertaking linen and waste management services as needed
- Contributing positively to the ongoing welfare of patients, staff, and visitors at Blacktown hospital.

Selection Criteria:
- Willingness to complete on the job training and a demonstrated understanding of what the role entails.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety, in particular Manual Handling.
- High-level communication skills including reading ability and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of Infection Control and Waste Management policies & procedures.
- Demonstrate capacity to follow written work instructions and basic skills in using a computer.
