About the role

We are looking to engage an experienced and commercial Payroll Business Partner to join our energetic and collaborative team.  As our new Payroll Business Partner, you’ll be ensuring the accurate and timely processing of wages in accordance with statutory legislation, relevant industrial agreements, company policies and procedures and other contractual requirements. 

This role provides accurate and timely reports in addition to a high level of customer service to all employees for general payroll queries.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Responsible for preparing the assigned payroll on time and in an accurate manner.
  • Process all employee movements including details for new employee’s terminations and transfers.
  • Calculation and administration of entitlements under various Awards and Industrial Instruments.
  • Preparation and payment of payroll tax, superannuation and other legislative payments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

About you

  • Extensive years of payroll experience within a complex and high-volume environment with proven time management skills.
  • Ability to deliver an end-to-end payroll process.
  • Prior working knowledge of Chris21 desirable.
  • Proactive skills to identify, analyse and resolve system issues.
  • Strong numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Robust understanding and ability to interpret and apply superannuation, payroll tax, payroll legislation, awards and enterprise bargaining agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and perform with integrity as well as a strong customer service skills to interact with employees at all levels.
