The Role:

The Payroll Implementation Consultantrole is the newest addition to our in-house Global payroll team. Reporting to our Global Payroll Manager in Melbourne, you will be joining our People and Culture (P&C) team that fosters collaboration and diversity. As we are now embarking on an exciting Payroll Implementation project, this role will be responsible for effective and efficient delivery of the implementation of a new payroll platform. You will have the exciting opportunity to lead various activities and provide valuable support for our payroll process. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in implementing changes and new processes that are essential for the success of this project.

To thrive in this role, you'll have previous experience in implementing a payroll project and you're comfortable managing multiple priorities at once! You'll also be excited at the prospect of learning new payroll jurisdictions - we have offices across Australia, UK, Europe, Dubai, Kenya, Bahamas and Chile.

This is a fixed term position for 12-15 months.

As our Payroll Implementation Consultant, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Leading solution development, configuration, and implementation of new payroll platform in a managed services model that reflect best practice whilst enhancing the employee experience
  • Heading the requirement gathering session for all our jurisdictions – Australia, Bahamas, Dubai, UK, Kenya , Cyprus , Chile and Germany.
  • Testing payroll solution against payroll UAT test scenarios
  • Executing and reviewing parallel run results including Bamboo HR integration,
  • Working with internal team to review payroll processes and change impact of implementation of new payroll solution and ensure readiness for go live
  • Working with stakeholders on payroll data deliverables in managing end-to-end HR processes at different levels in a matrix structure and ensuring risk & compliance for the business
  • Award interpretation for Australia and maintaining overall payroll statutory requirements while implementation of systems.
  • Management of incidents, problems, and requests through to completion within agreed timeframes
  • Creating and maintaining requirement documentations.
  • Time and Attendance interpretation for shift workers

About You:

  • Sound knowledge on compliance for Australia payroll
  • Experience operating in a compliance driven environment, ideally where employees have been covered by Agreements or Awards
  • Demonstrated experience in working on strategic initiatives and change management in the systems environment, including contributing to significant system implementations in a complex business
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply complex payroll legislation and regulations in Australia, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders, including senior management, HR, and finance teams, to ensure a collaborative and compliant payroll process
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development
  • Current and appropriate working rights in Australia
