An opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team based in Subiaco. This position is available on a temporary basis covering a period of parental leave for up to 2 years, commencing in April 2024.

About the role
As our Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for
Processing fortnightly and monthly pays for over 600 Staff
Overseeing Staff timesheets and attending to queries
Maintaining payroll related systems & applications i.e. iChris, ConnX (leave management) and our internal electronic timesheet system
Administering payroll tax, superannuation, workers compensation, parental leave, long service leave & uniform subsidies
End of month processing including reconciling and posting journals into the General Ledger
End of Year processes including reconciliations for the Office of State Revenue
Participating in Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys
The position is currently Part Time, 60 hours per fortnight worked Monday to Thursday. However, your flexibility to work more than these 60 hours is key in instances where the timing of payroll and month end requires it.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have
A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position
Exceptional communication, time management and organisational skills
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
The ability to problem solve confidently
Intermediate Excel skills
The ability to work as part of a wider team, but also the ability to work autonomously
Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines
