About our client:

Randstad are pleased to be partnering with our client who are a national mining company who are growing their payroll team. The Payroll Services Advisor reports into the Payroll Manager and will be working as part of a team of 4 (and counting). There are two roles available, one will be full-time and permanent and the other will be a 12 month fixed-term appointment with the potential to be permanent.

About the role:

This role will see you join a growing and newly established team who are currently insourcing their payroll function, currently roughly 6 months into bringing the payroll back inhouse. The team is currently processing the payroll for 1,200 employees across multiple EA’s. With the payroll function still being quite newly established you will have the opportunity to take part in establishing new procedures and processes. Your key duties will include:

• Provide accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing
• Processing terminations, redundancies, back pays and superannuation payments
• Calculating terminations, redundancies and leave entitlements
• New starter onboarding and employee file maintenance
• Providing a high level of customer service while assisting employees with their queries

About you:

• 5+ years of full end-to-end processing experience
• The ability to leverage your extensive payroll knowledge and provide support in creating new procedures
• Solid award interpretation skills
• You possess a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work with the team on upcoming projects
• A team player with excellent communication skills and a customer centric approach to your work
