About The Role
As the Payroll Team Lead, you will be providing technical advice and support in delivering a high-quality payroll service to our corporate and operational sites throughout Australia whilst adhering to company and legislative requirements.
You will be a self-motivated thinker who challenges function and reason, with the ability to lead, coach and mentor others; able to see the big picture; handle complexity and deliver planned outcomes.
Key elements of the role include:
- Supervise and Co-ordinate team work and priorities to achieve agreed service levels and standards
- Lead, influence and implement change initiatives in the work environment, whilst maintaining a consistent approach
- Assist the Payroll Manager with cyclical business events; salary review process, / performance development plans
- Assist the team with monthly, half yearly and yearly functions as and when required

About You
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior payroll officer or Team Lead position
- Ability to lead, coach and mentor others
- Excellent Excel knowledge and skills
- Solid knowledge of Australian payroll specific legislation
- Previous experience working with SAP
- Proven ability to prioritise and organise workload and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and close attention to detail
