With capabilities that span planning and design through to construction management and delivery, this organisation – established close to 40 years ago – has developed a specialised and niche offering in turnkey commercial and industrial building project solutions.
Having successfully moved to new and positive organisational structure, they are now seeking to maintain steady growth while continuing to enhance culture and capability through the appointment of their inaugural P&C Manager.
Reporting to the CEO, the P&C Manager is a standalone role and will lead the People function as well as drive relevant operational HR best practice to align with business objectives. You will be working closely with the Executive/Senior Leadership team members in the development and execution of the people program – ensuring strong, long-term engagement across their national, SME environment.
About the role:
- This is a largely greenfield environment and the P&C Manager will be hands-on in operational delivery and in the development of broader culture, talent and people-based initiatives.
- The P&C Manager has a strong focus on coaching, advising and guiding leaders on best practice and building capability.
- You will create the P&C road map – engaging the senior leadership team and broader business in establishing priorities and setting relevant and aligned objectives.
About you:
You will be working across all levels and divisions of the business, supporting and leading the build of a high calibre P&C function that aligns with long-term growth objectives. You will enjoy being on the ground and in the business working at a foundational level but also happy to engage key stakeholders in the strategic execution of an HR program. You will have:
- A strong generalist HR toolkit with previous experience operating across a broad remit of strategic and operational P&C delivery. We will be looking for experience in combined blue and white collar environments.
- Demonstrated strengths in providing advice, coaching and influencing Executive and Senior Leadership teams
- Capability to lead operational HR both as functional lead and in the project management and planning across the employee lifecycle.
This role is based in Hawthorn and will move to new, purpose built headquarters in Kew by the end of 2024.
This role is five days/week in the office but will benefit from day-to-day flexibility and will join a team and environment that genuinely prioritise health and wellbeing in the workplace.
