People and Culture Advisor

We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join our team at Xanadu Group in South Perth, on a 6 months fixed-term basis, with the possibility to extend it to permanent employment.
About the opportunity
In this role, you will be assisting the People and Culture team on a range of HR matters. You will be championing our HR system, Employment Hero, supporting the team in processes such as recruitment, employee engagement, and other administrative duties.
Under the direction of the P&C Manager, our People and Culture Advisor will assist the management team and all employees in the investigation and resolution of escalated grievances as well as performance issues as required.

Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Assisting the management team in the investigation and resolution of escalated grievances as well as performance issues as required.
- Generating employment contracts and variations of employment including transitions from casual to permanency.
- Undertaking regular compliance checks including NDIS, WWCC, visas, drivers’ licenses.
- Managing the P&C email inbox, triaging and responding/escalating queries as required.
- Distributing regular workforce reports.
- Keeping up to date with fair work and legislation, providing advice to team members.
To be thrive in this role you will have:
- Experience in Human Resources with an understanding of HR principles, employment legislation, and best practices.
- Working knowledge of HR systems.
- Experience with Employment Hero will be highly regarded.
- Excellent administration, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in the disability/care sector is desirable.
