Doxa Community Club operates two venues, Clocks at Flinders Street and Central Point, both in the Melbourne CBD that offer comfortable and engaging environments for Members and the public alike to eat, drink and enjoy responsible gaming.

As a People & Culture Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our company culture and ensuring our team members have a fulfilling and engaging experience during their employment with us.

**Role Overview:**

Located at our Head Office in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, working within a small and effective team as a 8-month Maternity Leave replacement.

As the People & Culture Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the overall success of our organisation by providing comprehensive administrative, operational and people support. 

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. You will be primarily responsible on managing various aspects of human resources, employee engagement, and culture initiatives during a Maternity Leave absence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Reviewing workplace culture and staff well-being through identifying opportunities and implementing strategies. 
  • Provide support in facilitating WHS meeting and coordinate with the consultant on the incident reporting system as and when required.
  • Use innovative methodologies to attract and retain high calibre staff.
  • Undertake all HR Administration such as maintaining policies, contracts, keeping up to date with changes in legislation.
  • Ensure staff training schedules are maintained and identify areas for training opportunities
  • Interpret Awards, legislation, rules, and regulations as they relate to Human Resources, Industrial Relations and OH&S and provide advice and guidance to senior management.
  • Injury management and Workcover coordination.
  • Provide support towards incident investigation and conflict resolution as well as performance management of staff when required.
  • Provide payroll support as and when required.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews with the management team.
  • Facilitating new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • Manage data entry and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and events.
  • Assist in performance management processes, and providing support to managers.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide general HR support.

**Qualifications:**

  •  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+years demonstrable experience in HR
  • High degree of accuracy, organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Enthusiastic team player, have a passion for people and culture development 
  • Able to follow systems & procedures
  • Able to work under pressure 
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
