About the team

The People & Culture (P&C) division work with the business to deliver valued people solutions that drive CCNSW outcomes through:  

  • Attracting, retaining and developing a workforce of talented and diverse individuals in support of the CCNSW purpose;
  • Building the capability of our leaders and managers to demonstrate innovative and effective leadership and management practices; and

About the role:

The People Experience Partner is a key role in the P&C team, leading a small team and working alongside, and in collaboration with the broader P&C team. This is a true generalist role to support the business to deliver the People Plan. The role partners with the divisional leaders across the business to advise, influence and drive business outcomes through effective people strategies and practices, including but not limited to recruitment, WHS/Wellbeing, engagement, performance, learning and development.

The role works with leaders to influence, challenge, develop and deliver people plans, achieve divisional objectives, and support the delivery of organisation-wide people strategies. The People Experience Partner will contribute to the people strategies and implement policies, programs and initiatives to build capability and culture to enable achievement of CCNSW's strategic objective to be an inspirational place to volunteer and work. The role is a trusted advisor to the divisional leadership teams, managers, employees, and volunteers alike, delivering support at both a strategic, operational and tactical level. 

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Deliver advice and support across the organisation by providing input into both strategic and operational people decisions and issues, using a consultative and collaborative approach as a trusted advisor.
  • Actively build effective relationships and partner with managers ensuring a sound understanding of the workforce needs and issues.
  • Coach and support leaders to build manager capability in a way that empowers managers to lead with confidence and self-sufficiency.
  • Lead a small team of HR professionals to deliver high quality, effective end to end employee activity to meet the operational needs of the business and support the People Plan initiatives.
  • Contribute to, and at times lead, innovative and people centric projects, programs and policies, working within the P&C team on delivery of key projects identified in the organisational strategic plan and the annual divisional plan, partnering with team members to ensure a holistic, collaborative approach.
  • Support the implementation of key change initiatives and projects across the relevant business areas, providing pragmatic advice and support for change management.

About you

We are looking for true HR Generalist who has worked in an end-to-end HR position and is ready to jump in and work as a team to deliver value add HR across the business.

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or relevant experience.
  • Experienced HR generalist with proven business partnering skills, demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management of contemporary workforce issues & practices.
  • Thorough working knowledge of employment relations legislation and demonstrated ability to interpret Awards and legislation.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing positive stakeholder relationships, both internal and external to the organisation to drive and manage change.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching and people leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level problem-solving skills and and time management skills, with ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • People leadership experience to manage a small team.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and fit-for-purpose application.
