Job description

Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Performance Improvement Specialist assists the business to identify improvement and innovation opportunities and lead business projects sponsored by General Managers or Executives, coordinating relevant activities with various stakeholders to achieve targeted benefits. The role focuses on leading complex, strategically significant projects that may require cross-functional collaboration.

Location:  South Guildford, WA

Roster: Monday – Friday, 8 hours (Flexible Work Options Available)

To be successful the following is required: 

  • A demonstrated track record as a business project manager and change agent who is a self-starter and can work autonomously to deliver tangible improvement with an ability to multi-task and lead a number of projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to listen and interpret issues beyond face value to understand the why as well as the what?
  • A tenacious problem solver who focuses on the problem being solved for and drives innovative solution through a pragmatic lens.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep knowledge of commercial practices and business financials.
  • Superb communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal), possessing a mature balance outlook, can deal with conflict constructively to build and maintain successful working relationships with all stakeholders of various levels.

Desirable however, not essential:

  • Experience and an understanding of financial or procurement processes and systems as a project manager or business representative, not an IT professional.
  • Recognised Project Management Qualifications which may include Six Sigma, Agile and PMBOK.
  • Tertiary Undergraduate Qualifications in Business, Engineering or Science
