Job description

The Role

Provide and maintain a high level of customer focused clerical, administrative and reception services.

Maintain confidentiality and work according to all Agency policies, procedures and guidelines.

Ensure all existing information management systems are maintained and processes conducted in accordance with the relevant guidelines and protocols of the Agency.

The Hospital & Team:

  • The Royal Hobart Hospital is the largest public hospital in the state and operates at a level 6 capability and provides acute inpatient and outpatient surgical services for the Tasmania Health Service Hospitals South (THS Hospitals South) and is the tertiary referral for complex patients from THS Hospitals North and THS Hospitals North West. The RHH provides elective and emergency surgical services for the THS Hospitals South.
  • The successful applicant will join a team reliable for ensuring the administrative aspect of Theatre Reception operations are maintained and performed in an effective and efficient manner.
  • This position is governed by the Surgical and Perioperative Service and located within the Theatre Precinct of the Royal Hobart Hospital.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term, part-time shift-worker position, working 56 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for approximately six (6) months.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary

$64,125 - $68,925 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
  • crimes of violence
  • sex related offences
  • serious drug offences
  • crimes involving dishonesty.

  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
