Our successful candidate will assist surgeons across a wide spectrum of specialties, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the perioperative process. This dynamic environment offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and the enhancement of your clinical skills, successful candidates will be supported by the perioperative Clinical Nurse Educators who will orientate them to the perioperative services at Maitland Hospital and work alongside a mentor for their supernumerary period. All staff also have access to Clinical Nurse Specialists and an Equipment Nurse within the Perioperative Team.
We are fortunate to run a weekly 1 hour CME where we have protected meeting and education time where all Nursing, Operations Assistants, Anaesthetic & Surgical staff are able to be involved in team simulation, clinical skills and in-services. There are daily opportunities for education with our Peer Led In-service program, product demonstrations and equipment updates.

Requirements and additional information:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Availability to work a 7 day rotating roster with shifts covering 24hrs as well as a 7 day on call roster.
- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
- This position is full time; however, part time arrangements will be considered.

Information for Applicants:
