Our Journey- Operating Suite at Moorabbin Hospital -
Moorabbin Operating Suite is a department with 6 operating rooms and 1 procedure room over 2 floors. We predominantly do elective cases of Orthopaedics, Urology, Ear Nose & Throat (ENT), Breast and reconstructions also along with all aspects of Gynaecology.
A day in the life
No two days will be the same as you work within an established, friendly and supportive team environment, working closely together to care for patients along with providing opportunities for staff development and growth in areas that staff are passionate about. Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a patient’s safe journey through theatre. We have a strong education focus and encourage staff to further develop their skills, along with being a part of a friendly and social environment to work in.
We are excited to announce that we have several Permanent Ongoing Full time and Part Time Opportunities for Scrub/Scout Perioperative Registered Nurses.
These are Monday to Friday roles at present with the possibility of extending services in the future to include weekends, but no nights! Our shifts are 9.5 hours in length across a rotating roster.
What you bring
We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in a Scrub/Scout and/ or anaesthetic/recovery nursing background or considering a change from another theatre to expand your knowledge and skills.
As someone with a strong work ethic, motivation, and personal values your contribution with the team will support each other and our organisation to be leaders in our field with exciting and progressive treatment and care.
You are also:
- Theatre experienced with a Scrub/Scout and or anaesthetic/recovery background – essential
- Experienced within the Orthopaedic speciality - desirable

- enthusiastic, compassionate & able to work collaboratively
- Registered with AHPRA
