About the Role
The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the perioperative team whose role encompasses the delivery of either direct, or indirect, patient care. The scope of practice within the perioperative environment may include, but is not limited to roles such as:
- Pre-Admission /Admission
- Instrument & Circulating / Scout Nurse
- Anaesthetic Nurse
- Endoscopy Nurse
- Post-anaesthetic (Recovery) Nurse
- Other selected duties as allocated by the Director of Nursing (or representative)
- Work across different specialties
The successful candidate will have:
- Anaesthetic or scrub scout experience
- Demonstrated Theatre Nurse experience with no less than 12 months experience in one of the above perioperative areas
- Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team in theatre, recovery, admission
- Unconditional AHPRA registration
- Knowledge of clinical care plans and strong clinical skills
- Genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service and patient care
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Theatre Experience is preferred, however, we are willing to train motivated nurses in the specialty
