Nauru Airlines operate passenger and freight services to and from the Central Pacific with our fleet of 737 classic and NG aircraft. Nauru Airlines is based in Brisbane CBD and operates under a CASA AOC.
We are currently seeking a skilled Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, this position will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of our aircraft fleet, both for scheduled services and charter flights.
This role works a 4 on/4 off roster (2 early shifts and 2 late shifts)
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform inspection, rectification, maintenance, and certification on company and client aircraft and equipment, per manufacturer’s / company’s specifications and standards.
- Inspect, maintain and repair structures, powerplants, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and avionics systems in accordance with training and licenses.
- Ensure compliance to the client's established standards when working on their aircraft. This includes compliance with their specific manuals, meeting their expectations for communication and reporting, and following their prescribed administrative processes.
- Comply with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and Security Management System (SeMS), accepting and working to achieve collective responsibility for safety and correct use of SMS.
Key selection criteria is listed below:
- Hold a current unrestricted CASA Part 66 Licence in Category B1 or B1/B2 with a type rating for the B737 classic and/or NG.
- Have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills supported with the ability to assess and interpret options and develop solutions for the line environment
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate across all levels
- Possess a strong working knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in being actively involved in SMS activities (such as fatigue management, workplace inspections, reporting, etc.)
- Ability to successfully pass a Drug screening and Medical assessment (DAMP)
- Ability to obtain an ASIC
- Hold an unrestricted driving licence and have own reliable transport
- Hold or the ability to hold a current passport
- Have the ability to work shift work as required by business needs
- will accept joint types
This position is based in Brisbane with some interstate and overseas flying engineering duties required from time to time.
