Permanent Part-Time Cook

Sunnyside House is a 40-bed residential Aged Care service set in the picturesque surroundings of Camperdown, Victoria.  Residents are cared for by a committed, professional team striving to deliver an envied quality of life for our residents.

We have a permanent part-time Cook position vacant, working morning and afternoon shifts. Reporting to our Chef, the purpose of the role is to ensure the highest possible standards of delicious food and nutritional care are provided to all residents.

Selection Criteria:

• Ability to cook for at least 40 people per sitting
• Trade qualifications (minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery or similar)
• Knowledge and understanding of the food safety standards
• In-depth working knowledge of the Food Safety Act
• Current food safety supervisor’s qualification
• Demonstrated experience as a commercial cook for a minimum period of one year
• Applied knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety
• Knowledge and understanding of accreditation in a health care service
• The ability to communicate in a responsive, respectful and professional manner
• A current National Criminal History Record Check, current Flu vaccination, and COVID-19 vaccinations (or be willing to obtain).
