Permanent Teacher + Academic Extension Leader (POR 2)

We are currently seeking applications for:

Permanent Teacher + Academic Extension Leader (POR 2) commencing 29 April 2024.

St Columba College is seeking to appoint a full-time permanent Teacher, with an additional 2-year fixed term POR tenure for the role of Academic Extension Leader commencing in Term 2, 2024.

The responsibilities of the POR are as follows:

• The Academic Extension Leader (Year 3-12) is responsible for leading curriculum planning, pedagogy, teacher development and coordinating the administration processes for students who are eligible for Academic Extension.
• The Academic Extension Leader (Year 3-12) is responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate Academic Extension curricular and co-curricular programs to enhance and enrich the learning of all students.
• Reporting directly to the Head of Curriculum and Learning (R-12) and working across Years 3-12, the Academic Extension Leader will enjoy close working relationships with the Assistant Head of Curriculum and Learning and Learning Area Leaders, in order to develop and promote the Academic Extension Programs of the College.
• The Academic Extension Leader will coach and mentor teachers and Learning Area Leaders to strategically coordinate and map the Academic Extension opportunities for students across all curriculum areas.
