The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

This position is accountable for the review, issuance, and revalidation of permits within the FGJV Permit to Work system on the Snowy 2.0 Project
Qualifications:
- Formal HS Qualifications such as Cert IV - Workplace Health & Safety or similar
- White Card
- C Class driver's license
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in the PTW System and isolation processes, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
- Experience and understanding of a Permit to Work System or demonstrated Permit to Work experience.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Australian construction safety standards and requirements
- Ability to read and understand Process Engineering flow schemes
- A comprehensive knowledge of relevant legal regulations
- Excellent organizational skills for all PTW documentation related to Workplace compliance and WHS program to educate employees
- Keen observation skills to monitor the safety performance of a workplace and identify risks or hazards
- Strong problem-solving skills to suggest necessary changes to unsafe work conditions
- Problem solving, interpretation, reasoning and judgement skills with an ability to identify and solve complex problems.

- Reviewing the accuracy of information detailed on the Permit to Work application.
- Ensuring the Permit Holder is aware of and understands all conditions and precautions specified on the work permit.
- Ensuring the Permit Holder understands what to do upon suspension of the Work Permit and in an emergency.
- Where a facility safety system is to be isolated, the Permit Issuer Shall ensure that the on-shift Emergency Response Coordinator is informed.
- Undertaking work site inspections and reviewing that the precautions necessary for the safe completion of the work have been carried out and remain in place until the job is complete.
- Undertaking work site inspections before the resumption of work following suspension of the Work Permit.
- Providing the Permit Holder with the field copy of the Work Permit and supporting information to aid awareness of and understanding of all conditions and precautions specified on the work permit.
- Reviewing and ensuring isolations specified on the isolation certificate are signed off and authorized by the Authorised Isolators.
- Issuing the Work Permit following authorisation by the Permit Authority.
- Revalidating Work Permits which have been authorised for issue in accordance with the PTW Procedure.
- Ensuring all requirements for permit closeout are completed
