AddressAssisi Aged Care (Assisi) is a not-for-profit residential aged care facility catering to the needs of older Italians. Assisi operates 150 residential aged care beds within the refurbished and extensive buildings. The surrounding parkland features the 1920's historic Sisters of Mercy novitiate convent.
Assisi is located in Rosanna, a beautiful leafy suburb 12 kms from the Melbourne central business district and close to public transport.
Personal Care Assistants - Casual
The Role
Assisi Aged Care is looking for Personal Care Assistants to fill various shifts. We have a diverse group of staff representing many cultures. This is your opportunity to join a welcoming and friendly team.
You will:
- Join a visionary and values based organisation that cares for its staff and residents
- Deliver care and services to residents that reflect their needs and preferences
- Assist with documentation of care activities
- Be supported by a strong clinical team of registered, enrolled nurses and other care workers
- Receive training and support to undertake your role
The successful applicant will have:-
- A Certificate III or IV In Ageing Support
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Sound computer skills
- Flexibility to work across a range of morning, afternoon and night shifts.
- Current Police Certificate
- The ability to work in Australia - either a Permanent Resident or an Australian Citizen
The ability to speak Italian is highly regarded but not essential
