Personal Carer (Rural Property), Sarina Qld

A position now exists for a Personal Carer to commence work within a full-time, live-in permanent position to be located on a rural cattle property near Sarina, Queensland. Sarina is a smaller township to the south of Mackay and west of the beautiful coastline that surrounds the region. Our client’s home is positioned on top of a hill overlooking the coastline.

The newly created position of Personal Carer has recently come into effect and is required to be fulfilled by an applicant willing and able to provide adequate personal care to a woman in her late 60’s requiring permanent assistance within the home environment.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• To ultimately provide an excellent level of personal care in terms of medication monitoring, hygiene, and self-care that is required.
• In the event of an emergent situation, to ensure a 24 hour per day availability.
• Meal planning, preparation, and delivery of meals according to specific dietary requirements.
• To carry out grocery shopping and running of other household errands.
• Some light gardening and watering of pot plants.
• To provide assistance caring for pets.
• To be a caring & helpful companion and provide assistance, understanding, friendship and a sense of loyalty to our client.
• To comfortably communicate with immediate family when required.

Essential Attributes:

• An understanding that this role is located within a beautiful home surrounded by established gardens and is on a rural cattle property and on the top of a hill.
• To ensure of availability within this permanent, full-time role, living on site within close proximity of our client.
• To be capable of cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing and carrying out basic household chores to ensure the home is kept in a tidy standard.
• To be physically capable of carrying out the duties listed above.
• To have a current driver’s licence to assist with attending appointments.
