Job 49518About the Role:
We are seeking a versatile Full-time Pharmacist to fill a unique dual role in a pharmacy in the South West region. This is a quiet pharmacy with a one-staff operation dedicated to serving our local community. The successful candidate will serve as the community pharmacist from Monday to Thursday, 9am to 2pm, and transition into the role of an on-site pharmacist from 2pm to 5pm on Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Friday.
The on-site pharmacist must either be accredited or be prepared to obtain accreditation.
Responsibilities:As the community pharmacist you will be required to:
* Check Webster packs
* Perform minimal dispensing tasks
* Administer minimal vaccinations
As the on-site pharmacist your responsibilities will entail:
* Psychotropic medication management oversight, including maintaining psychotropic register, monitoring psychotropic use, psychotropic medication reviews, monitoring PRN use, deprescribing.
* Assisting with chemical restraint reviews/consent.
* Monthly medication management audits eg: storage of medication, medication register audit
* Antimicrobial stewardship audits
* Participation in Medication Advisory Meetings
* National Quality Indicator medication reporting
* Medication incident reviews
* Participate in staff vaccination programs
* In-home education and training
* Provide medication information to residents and families
About our Ideal Candidate:
- You hold a current unrestricted Pharmacist registration with AHPRA
- You are friendly and reliable
- You are proactive and use initiative
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You have good attention to detail
- Vaccination accreditation (or willingness to obtain accreditation)
About the Location:
The pharmacy is located in the South West region of WA, home to approximately 2700 residents. This town is known for its dairy industry and oranges. Also is a home to Harvey Dam, which is a popular recreations angling and tourist destination, with picnic facilities, walkways and historical information. This area is approximately 145km south west of Perth, accessible by car.
About the Offer:
You will be working 38 hours Monday- Friday 9am to 5pm. Attractive hourly rate negotiable.
