Pharmacist – Grade 1

About the role
The Grade 1 Pharmacist at Cabrini Health is a fantastic role for those in their early career, providing the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a supportive environment.
You will have the opportunity to rotate in various areas of hospital pharmacy, including clinical ward pharmacy, sterile and cytotoxic dispensing, and inpatient dispensing.
The role can be full-time or part-time, creating flexibility in your lifestyle. The hours worked are usually Monday to Friday, with some on call rostered for evenings and weekends. Applicants must be flexible in regard to work hours.
Key responsibilities:
Provides pharmaceutical service to patients and clinicians, ensuring prescribing and dispensing complies with legislative and professional requirements.
Provides dispensing and medication counselling service to patients.
Provides pharmaceutical information to health professionals.
Ensures medications are stored safely and appropriately.
Communicates and cooperates with the department and wider organisation.
About you
The successful candidate will have the following:
Registered with current AHPRA registration.
Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy (an advantage).
Proficient computer skills.
The ability to work well within a team, whilst being proactive and able to adapt to conflicting demands.
Sound written and verbal communication skills
