The role will also be responsible for supporting clinical OTP services and the Substance Withdrawal Management (Detox) Services within the scope and responsibilities of a registered pharmacist.The position holder will be required to participate in a roster at the OTP dosing clinics in Penrith and the Blue Mountains Local Government Areas including regular early morning shifts and occasional weekend work.We invite you to explore this opportunity with us. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.Selection Criteria to be Addressed: * A registered pharmacist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with no current restrictions to scope of practice as well as demonstrated experience in clinical pharmacy preferably within a tertiary Australian hospital.

  • Demonstrated high level of clinical reasoning skills and clinical experience in a health care setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines for pharmacotherapies in the Drug and Alcohol Service.
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to working in a medically led multi-disciplinary treatment team based on the principles of patient centred care
  • Proven capacity to prioritise workloads, to work independently and with minimal supervision, and to manage competing work priorities in a timely manner. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word PowerPoint, Excel, and/or Access), Pharmacy Inventory and Dispensing programs
  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel within the NBMLHD as per needs of the service.
  • Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/ seven-day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays, within NBMLHD as per needs of the service.
