Pharmacist Subacute Services - Grade 3
Part time 36 per fortnight

At Colac Area Health our Pharmacy department is a fully comprehensive medication service, made up of an enthusiastic team comprising of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
In the role of Pharmacist Subacute services, you will be responsible for the discrete leading of clinical pharmacy services in our Pharmacy Outreach, GEM @ Home and Inpatient Restorative Care programs. You will also provide leadership and support to our Residential Aged Care facility Corangamarah to ensure quality use of medicines and lead any pharmacy related reforms from the Aged Care Royal Commission.
This is an amazing opportunity to further develop your clinical pharmacist skills and leadership abilities and gain experience working in a hospital environment through the support and training of our collaborative team.
What’s required?
- Friendly, enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacist with at least eight years of pharmacist experience
- Strong work ethic, excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Understands patient/client confidentiality.
- Willingness to develop the skills required for this position and mature these programs to ensure they reflect contemporary practice
- Sound written and verbal communication skills to ensure timely reporting of programs to stakeholders
- Provides advice to the Director of Pharmacy on matters relating to clinical pharmacy or their area of responsibility
- A proven ability to work independently
- Competent computer literacy skills
- Contribute to professional peer review
- Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant government legislation (especially The Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme), policies and procedures, risk management and work health and safety relative to Community Services within the Victorian public sector
