Our Phlebotomist plays a significant role in the patient journey at Monash IVF. You are responsible for providing high quality phlebotomy services to patients. With exceptional service, underpinned by a caring, compassionate nature, you will directly enhance the patient experience. Your will also provide administrative and reception support to the clinic. Reporting to the Nurse Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering caring, professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Providing quality phlebotomy services
- Maintaining patient records in our patient management system
- Collecting consent forms and updating patients records
- Preparing pathology rooms for the morning clinic
- Packing and dispatching samples to laboratories in accordance with the agreed time frames and protocols
- Unpacking relevant consumables
- Ensuring compliance of protocols and best practice
Understanding there are ups and down in reproductive health, our phlebotomist will be sensitive to the needs of patients and deliver a caring, professional service. Ideally you will bring the following:
- Certificate in Pathology or Phlebotomy
- Proficient venepuncture technique (mandotory) - previous experience
- A track record of delivering caring and compassionate customer service
- Committment to all set days and hours, plus flexibility to increase hours if required
- The ability to work cohesively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and well-developed communication skills
- Superior organisation and time management skills with a proven ability to be proactive, multitask and manage changing priorities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work efficiently under pressure
- High attention to detail
- A willingness to fit in and embrace the Monash IVF Group Principles
