About the Role
MSP Photography is a leading organisation in providing exceptional school photography to Australian schools. We photograph a number of schools on the Darling Downs and are seeking an assistant to help setup photography equipment and coordinate staff and students on photo day.
This is a casual role offering approximately 1 day per fortnight but the work is not regular or fixed days. Some weeks may require 2 or 3 days while there may be no work in other weeks. We understand the variability of working days can be a challenge so we do provide several weeks notice when you are required to work. We start at 7am or 7:30am and finish by 3pm.
To be suitable for this role, you need to be reliable, available to work on the days we require, well presented, be a very good communicator and well organised.
There is the opportunity to be trained as a photographer if you desire and this role would also suit an experienced photographer looking for additional work.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Help setup and pack down photography equipment
- Coordinate the flow of students and school staff being photographed
- Work within a team to create a positive experience for staff and students
Skills and Experience
- No photography experienced required! Full training is provided.
- Your own reliable vehicle and current drivers licence
- Current working with children Blue card or ability to obtain one
- Punctual & reliable at all times
- Experience working with children is highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills for dealing with children, teachers and school administrators
- Strong Computer Skills
- Neat and tidy appearance
- Good health and general fitness is required as the role involves lifting and carrying equipment
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
