Awareness, or ability to garner understanding, of contemporary Physical Surveillance methodology is desirable. Ability to work within a small team of committed professionals is essential.
The key duties of the position include
- Support ACIC Physical Surveillance operational deployments by providing high quality tactical and operational reporting, analysis and monitoring functions;
- Process analytical results and presentation of data into formats suitable for operational interpretation;
- Monitor multiple intelligence and tactical systems simultaneously, critically analyse live or complex information streams, and provide reliable advice and intelligence for operational outcomes;
- Enhance risk assessment and risk management activities through the interrogation of available intelligence;
- Apply innovative solutions to maximise contributions to the quality and efficiency of services;
- Engage with stakeholders to support as required.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Has experience in operational intelligence environments or capacity to successfully undertake training supporting knowledge of intelligence processes, methodologies and techniques. An understanding of covert collection techniques, activities or operational coordination within the law enforcement or intelligence community is highly desirable;
- Can contribute to complex intelligence projects together with the ability to form sound judgments based on strategic thinking, high-level problem solving, researching and analysing information / data;
- Is able to analyse and handle sensitive information, including the ability to produce operational reporting;
- Demonstrates awareness or capacity to use operational communications tools;
- Has a high level of verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and liaison skills;
- Will have an ability to maintain effective relationships through consultation and sharing of information.
